Buddhist Honorary Title Conferment Ceremony

On Sunday afternoon, Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) celebrated a ceremony to inaugurate the Tripitaka Commentaries in Pali, which are just newly developed and published by the PUC Buddhist Academy. “ The Khmer translated Tripikata Commentaries in Pali will exist in the world after publishing,” said Dr. KolPheng, PUC founding father. There are totally 50 series of tripitakacommentaries which were carefully verified. With the help from the corporate Buddha in Taiwan, over fifty thousand of the books were published. These will be distributed to local pagodas and international library. “ The books will be useful resources to the next generation for further study and research,” added Dr. Kol. Part of the ceremony, PUC will also confer Budhhist Honorary titles to over 100 Buddhist Masters who have devoted all their life teaching Buddhism and have contributed their Buddhist teaching knowledge to Cambodian society both in the country and abroad.

NakruSothormmea MOM Sokheng, a Buddhist Master on radio FM106.25 in Siem Reap commented that She was very glade being offered the books. It was very proud that Cambodia has her Tripitaka Commentaries Palitranslated which have just made. They are important especially to the Buddhist follower to do more research.
